Pendant trois jours, les 9,10 et 11 Août Laroquebrou a une nouvelle fois swinguée jusqu'à l'aube. La soirée d'ouverture a vu son niveau élevé par les prestations de Don Washington au piano et par The Cotton Club Boys en swing danse.

Don Washington, pianiste virtuose noir américain de l'État de New York possède une voix envoûtante. Après sa prestation survoltée il a reçu une standing ovation du public.

Cab, Andy, Jelly et Philou du Cotton Club Boys ont surpris par leur chorégraphie aérienne et élégante, ils ont littéralement « mis le feu » à la salle.

Vendredi, Jean-Pierre Bertrand, a su concilier sa passion du piano et celle de transmettre des trémolos caractéristiques et la pulsation intense de ses influences musicales.

Jean-Paul Amouroux, organisateur pianiste a su encore une fois démontrer qu'il était toujours passionné et solide au poste.

Parmi les étoiles montantes, Julien Monboisse, qui a découvert le Boogie Woogie a Laroquebrou

a su donner le meilleur de lui-même cette année. Il est vrai qu'il s'est déjà produit aux États-Unis à Cincinnati l'an dernier. Ce futur grand, continue néanmoins ses études pour devenir professeur d'anglais.

Le festival de Laroquebrou, devient au fil des années, une valeur sûre incontournable grâce à l'implication de nombreux bénévoles participant à l'organisation.

Le festival se vit de manière intense, chaque année sa musique et ses sonorités mettant de la couleur à la manifestation.

Christian Meiniel, maire de Laroquebrou et Bernard Momaur président de l'association organisatrice sauront certainement concocté un programme en rythme pour l'année 2008.

Laroquebrou se positionne de plus en plus comme la capitale mondiale du Boogie.
